AQVILA
Aqvila (Latin) or Aquila (English) is latin for “the Eagle.” In the days of the late Roman Republic through the time of the Roman Empire, the Aquila was the standard of the Roman Legions. It was considered a disgrace to lose a legionary Aquila in any way. The Greeks and Romans viewed eagles the bird of Zeus/Jupiter.
